After visiting multiple location where food was served we were thinking about how much food is actually wasted at the end of each night. We thought this would be the perfect opportunity to come up with a business pitch to fix this problem. Our business pitch was to create a company that would link up with all types of restaurants and come with trucks when the restaurants close to pick up all the food that would have been wasted otherwise. Following all the pickups, the food would be brought to a central location where it would be sorted through and given for free to anyone who comes in. The business would be a non-profit that feeds all people who are struggling to feed themselves and their families. We pitched our idea to the manager of the Chipotle (left), who was so interested in the idea that he asked for our business cards and contact info. We explained to him that the business was theoretical, and we all shared a good laugh.
